Langley’s Willoughby neighbourhood is getting closer to having the first-ever net zero ready townhomes in the Fraser Valley. StreetSide Developments BC has been working on its Cascadia community there – which will have a mix of net zero ready and standard townhomes – since the official groundbreaking in January.
Contributing to Qualico’s goal to have a Net Zero certified builder in each of its markets, Sterling Homes Calgary has become Qualico’s first registered and certified Net Zero builder in Calgary with their newest showhome located in the Qualico Community of Vermilion Hill.

Harrison Hot Springs, BC – On February 25-26, 19 members of Qualico’s Sustainability Working Group Committee attended the Canadian Home Builders’ Association’s (CHBA) Net-Zero Home Leadership Summit. Qualico was part of a group of 210 attendees from key stakeholders that have impact and influence in the residential construction industry such as utilities, renewable energy solution providers, infrastructure design and development, financing, education and capacity building, and research and technologies.
