Community Recognition

Brad Armstrong, Vice-President, Qualico Communities Edmonton, was recently awarded a King Charles III Coronation Medal for his personal and professional contributions to the community.

Qualico’s Ruth Hastings received the 2023 Duff Roblin Award from The University of Winnipeg and its Foundation for her philanthropic efforts in the community and commitment to lifelong learning. Ruth accepted the award at the 15th Annual Duff Roblin Award Dinner, a fundraising gala event, held on November 9 at The Metropolitan Entertainment Centre.

Qualico was recognized by the Edmonton chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals with a 2022 Health Award on National Philanthropy Day last month, for its long-standing support of the city’s University Hospital Foundation.

Kristine Kowalchuk, a board member for Food for Thought, said support from donors like Qualico is key to making the program work.

The Manitoba 150 Women Trailblazer Awards salutes the contributions that Manitoba women have made to social justice, arts, sports, politics, community activities and promoting democracy while developing this great province. Qualico's Katherine Friesen has been recognized as one of those trailblazers.

Calgary, AB – Harmony, Springbank’s first lake community, was named Community of the Year – Calgary Region for a third time. The BILD Calgary Region awards celebrate and recognize quality products and accomplishments amongst builders. While the virtual awards gala is not taking place until August 13, BILD is announcing select winners through CTV Morning News leading up to the event.
